A week plagued with late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms showed mercy on Friday night as Jonathan dropped to a knee in front of a small crowd of beachgoers to ask Jessica to marry him.

After a couple of weeks of planning and a careful eye on the hourly precipitation chances, we planned for a Friday evening around 7:30 PM on Lido Key. Our main focus for the evening was capturing the proposal, followed by a mini engagement session to give Jonathan and Jessica some teasers for their friends and family.

Jonathan was able to meet me on the beach where I was camping out in attempts to keep any speedo wearing photobombers from sabotaging this special moment. When I received the "on the way" text from Jonathan I managed to talk a nearby couple into holding down the spot while I moved into position to follow close behind them. The moment arrived, as they pulled up to the beach parking lot I had them in my sights, they entered the beach and started walking towards the predetermined spot, as Jonathan glanced back to ensure I didn't abandon him for a nearby tiki bar. Jonathan and Jessica arrived the rocks and as Jessica turned around to head back Jonathan dropped to a knee to the sounds of "awwwwww" and "ahhhhh" from the other beach goers who were watching a very romantic scene unfold in front of them.

After a most definite YES Jonathan pointed me out to Jessica for an added surprise, a photographer just captured this very special and romantic moment!
